Our Team – Hair At 58

The Hair At 58 Team

Sam
Creative Director

Hi I’m Sam, the very proud Owner and Artistic Director of Hair at 58.  I’ve been in this amazing industry for the last twenty-three years and still feel as passionate and dedicated as the day my hair journey began. Opening my own salon in 2009 seemed the most natural move to make and I’ve never looked back – being able to create a team of exceptional talent and have them all under one roof makes me proud daily.

One of my proudest personal achievements was being asked to join the Aveda UK styling team which enabled me to work on shows with likes of Stella McCartney and also New York, London and Paris fashion week. I’m now into my 6th season and nothing can compare to the buzz of working back stage in such a high energy, creative environment with the most inspirational stylists within the industry.

Paul
Director

Paul has over 40 years of hairdressing experience. He started his career at Vidal Sassoon where he developed a passion for precision cutting and creative techniques in hair. This led to becoming a teacher at the London schools and academy.

It was while working with Antoinette Beenders on fashion shows that he was invited to join Aveda as the director of in-house training at the institute in Covent Garden. Paul provides a bespoke service that starts with an in-depth consultation, focusing on suitability, manageability, and a luxury finish using Aveda’s naturally derived organic products.

Abby
Senior Stylist

Hi, my name is Abby, Welsh girl living in Bristol. I have been hairdressing for over 13 years ever since I left school. I moved straight into an apprenticeship and quickly progressed up to Artistic Director in an award winning salon in Wales. I spent 11 years in this role where I was involved in the British Hairdressing Awards and International Colour Competitions that took me to MGM grand in Las Vegas as a finalist. I’ve always been a very creative person and enjoy working with and meeting new people. I love exploring innovative new styles and fashions and  have a wealth of experience in diverse, current colouring techniques, but my interests really lie in cutting. I really enjoy exploring, travelling and experiencing different foods and cultures. I particularly love Glastonbury festival, Ibiza and my cat 🙂

Hello my name is Lucy and I am the Business Manager for Hair at 58. I had the exciting opportunity of starting with Hair at 58 when Sam opened the salon in 2009. From here I took on the Salon Manager role for 5 years being part of and building the empire that it is today. I am absolutely thrilled to have re-joined the salon and team 2 years ago taking on the business aspects where my passion and experience sits giving Sam and the salon team space to be involved in every Creative opportunity possible staying at the forefront of the industry.

In my spare time I enjoy practising yoga, travelling and being a ECO-WARRIOR ? as well as bouncing around new coffee venues in Bristol!

Amelia
Front of House

My name is Amelia but I’m known in the salon as Millie. I have worked here for 6 years now; I completed a Business Administration Apprenticeship when I first joined and I loved every bit of it. I am now the Front of House Manager at Hair at 58 and being Sam’s sister it seems a natural progression to be a part of the family business.

Abi
Stylist

I am lucky that from a young age I knew hair and beauty was the career I wanted to take and although I am fully qualified in both areas, hairdressing is the career path I chose to pursue.

I joined Hair at 58 back in April 2017 and truly love being part of a team, who are not only exceptionally talented but are incredible individuals that I am happy to call my work family.

Whilst being at Hair at 58 I have been able to widen my skills within the hairdressing industry and have even completed my Aveda Colour Master course which I’m extremely proud of.

I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing from cutting through to (my favourite) bespoke colouring of woman’s hair and love the finish that Aveda colour and products give.

Tony
Stylist

Tony’s passion for the hairdressing industry started at a young age, 10+ years into his hairdressing career Tony has proven that he has a natural talent, a true skill and loves nothing more than to push the boundaries of creativity. Over the years, Tony has honed in on his skills through extensive training and practical experience, allowing him to offer all clients the best possible service.
